- Sybase to SQL Server Migration
Job Role Description:
- Sr. Technical Architect role in Successful design, development and migrate databases.
- Migration of Sybase database to Sql server.
- Good understanding of the existing source databases (Sybase).
- Design and Review the migration plan with the customer and communicate the same with in the team for actual migration. Ensure to perform all in scope activities.
- Meeting as - is performance of new databases due to migration changes.
- Ability to adapt quickly new technologies and create POC solutions for clients.
- Own any database migration issues and should handle independently.
- Should have experience working with onshore –offshore model.
Primary skills:
- Migration of databases from Sybase to SQl server.
- Experience and good knowledge in Sybase database
- Strong knowledge in working with SQL server database development.
- Hands on experience on Linux and windows operating systems.
- Experience in design, development and reviewing the plan with customer.
Secondary skills:
- Understanding of the application functionality.
- Knowledge on database administration.
- Knowledge and exposure to Cloud concepts & fundamentals.
- Understanding on the network issues and bandwidth related issues.
- Basic knowledge on all infrastructures related.
