Detailed Job Description:

- A Solution Architect is motivated to deliver mission critical enterprise database products as a service in the cloud and on premise by conversion of the vision into technology solutions.
Minimum years of experience*: 12-15
Responsibilities you would expect the Subcon to shoulder and execute*:
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges for our customers
- Champion new product requirements and features for development
- Mentor other developers, define standards, best practices and help drive adoption
- Ability to lead the conversion of the vision into a comprehensive product and service
- Benchmark application performance and continue to tune and scale to accommodate growth
- Make high - level design choices and dictate technical standards, including software coding standards, tools, and platforms
- Accountable for the application architecture of all product components
- Guide multiple development squads and work streams at once to ensure successful delivery of projects
- Evaluate and implement solutions and technologies for team adoption
- Assess and communicate status, issues, risks and deliverables to stakeholders
- Be the “go-to” team member in your domain(s) for application design and patterns
- Assist teams by hands-on coding including but not limited to: proof-of-concepts, code samples, and application infrastructure/frameworks
Skills And Qualifications:
- Experience writing documentation, publications and presenting solutions at conferences
- Expertise in a software and systems engineering
- 5 years of direct experience working with a variety of technology systems, designing solutions or developing business applications
- Experience in the business technology market, expertise working closely with sales and marketing teams in cloud computing or related technical fields
- Deep understanding of the current state of infrastructure automation, continuous integration/deployment, SQL/NoSQL, security, networking, and cloud-based delivery models
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts for broad audiences, empowering them with memorable and useful information
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges
Key Activities:
- Product Client Relationship Management
- Serves as a liaison between client partners, IT&S and vendors in coordination with project managers to provide technical solutions that address user needs.
- Coordinates communication and activities between technical teams.
- Capture Business Requirements
- Assists in the gathering of business requirements.
- Write functional specifications.
- Writes and communicates business requirements and functional specifications for the implementation of client solutions.
- Analyzes client operations to understand their strengths and weaknesses to uncover opportunities for improvements.
- Assesses client needs utilizing a structured requirements process (gathering, analyzing, documenting, and managing changes).
- Leads development and communicates business requirements and functional specifications for the design and implementation of client solutions.

Design Product:
- Works closely with architects to assure all systems are in line with IT&S long-term strategy.
- Creates technical design specifications and assists in sizing technical requirements.
- Reviews and advises on technical design specifications developed by junior levels.
Product Documentation:
- Ensures all applications are documented according to standards.
- Promotes effective use of information technology by educating users on system functionality.
- Development of user guides and training documentation for systems.
- Perform Technology Evaluation and Research
- Evaluates new application packages and tools and performs research on best practices.
- Provides recommendations for the solutions.
