Details:

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 10 years of experience in I-Series Systems Administration and Support

Preferred:

• Very strong and hands-on skills in AS400-I Series Systems
• Requirement Gathering and assessment, installation process of both hardware software OS and PTF
• A very good knowledge on maintenance of HMC related activities, ASP / IASP / LPAR and load balancing.
• Evaluation and install of Third Party Software
• HMC management including I-series LPAR load balancing, LPAR management, backup and other HMC related activities including Web HMC / HMC upgrade / Redundant Environment HMC Upgrade
• Knowledge in Lpar Creation / iSeries Navigator / iSeries Security.
• Knowledge in CL Basics and Journaling.
• System Consolidation and sizing
• System/ OS upgrade
• Expertise in the Network setup including SNADS, Mail configuration etc.,
• Planning Business Continuity & DR Implementation
• Tape Management and IO devise control and Management and High Availability solution and management
• Trouble shooting process and problem Analysis
• Proper understanding of the I-series system functionality and I/O channels and Data flow device configurations like SNADS, SMTP, SNTP, TCPIP, Twinax etc.,
• Good knowledge on save restore, and Securities including High Availability and system Recovery process planning and execution
• Knowledge of AS400 File Structure and IFS folder structure
• Basic RPG , COBOL and DB2 Knowledge in order to interface with Developers for issue resolution.
