Preferred Education: 4 year college degree or equivalent technical study CCNP or equivalent technical knowledge Required Experience/Skills: Experience/Expertise in the following subject matter areas: Cisco Route/Switch Cisco Unified Communications • Call Manager version: 6.x / 8.x • Unity • Presence • Voice Gateways • Phones • ATAs Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills Optional Experience/Skills: Experience/Expertise in as many of the following subject matter areas: Nortel PBX - Option 81/61/11 – Nortel command line Solarwinds Orion 10.x Cisco WAAS Cisco WCS – wireless bridging & APs Cisco LMS (Ver. 3.2 / 4.0) Cisco Nexus Switches Cisco ASA (Firewalls) Digi Terminal Servers Cisco IPICS 2.2(1) & 4.x Alcatel 6855 Switches Microsoft Office Products Job Responsibilities/Tasks: Upgrades & Installs • Assist in upgrade of Cisco UC/Call Manager from ver. 6.x to 8.x on UCS • Assist in installation of Cisco Unified Contact Center Express on UCS • Adds/Moves/Changes to VOIP Phone system • Perform cutover activities (may require evening work) • Provide post implementation break/fix support • Other network projects as assigned Support / Maintenance / Service Desk requests • Monitor and support the performance of all network infrastructure • Utilize Solarwinds ORION to research & diagnose problems • Provide front-line interaction with the PTC User Community General • Perform root cause analysis, debugging, and problem resolution • Follow PTC Change Management processes and procedures •Create and maintain requirements, documentation, and procedures. • Develop and maintain configuration documentation • Schedule and conduct meetings / presentations / training • Communicate both verbally and in writing with managers, other network support staff and with PTC business unit users • Perform capability/knowledge transfer to PTC staff | |||
