Detailed Job Description:
- Drive cooperation and performance of the technical teams for a specific Service and Serves as the prime point of contact to the Operations regarding overall and day-to-day service delivery.
- Overall 5+ experience in windows administrator, VMware View Admin, VMware vSphere, Site recovery manager, vRealize log Insight, vRealize Operations manager, vCenter Center convertor, Windows, Linux, Hyper-V, Realize Orchestrator.
- Experience in VMware vSphere virtual datacenter operation support in Dev, Test, UAT, PROD, Tier 1 and critical change restricted environment.
- Responsible for Patching and upgrade cycle of ESXi, vCenter,Nutanix,vxrails, SRM, vRops, Log insight, EMC Powerpath appliance etc. Comfortable handling Host, Virtual machine life cycle support, IT assets, reclaim and cost.
- Working knowledge on Host Build, Hardware Refresh, FW upgrade, BIOS validation and High availability and load balancing across compute, storage and network.
- Validate daily reports, Alerts, monitor infrastructure health and growth in vRealize operations manager and analyze logs in log insight, Compliance check.
- Working in regular site recovery manager test to validate recovery parameters and should be able to support DR test exercise. Knowledge in LUN consolidation, datastore upgrade and array migration.
- Ability to setup of resource pools and a VMware Distributed Resources Scheduler (DRS) cluster, Resource Management, Resource Monitoring along with VMware High Availability (HA) cluster
- Proficient in scripting ESX Server deployments for remote installation and security in a VMware Virtualized Environment
- Handling Service request, Change, Problem and Asset management. Handling adhoc service request with vendor.
- Handling virtual machine provisioning and customization for business-critical application.
- Automated virtual machine provisioning, IaaS provisioning and day two operation in vRealize Automation center.
- Server consolidation and P2V conversion. Knowledge about automated build process.
- Production of end-to-end solution architecture and designs, putting together technologies from multiple IT systems and departments across either the application or infrastructure domains.
- Creating vendor (VMware, EMC) request for analyze incident, problem and fix.
- Attending customer standup, scrum, problem, CAB meeting and on call support form emergency issue.
- ITIL Processes - Change, Incident and Problem management
- Able to handle Client communication and Escalation.
