Detailed Job Description:

• Administration of Big Data Appliance
• Managing Operations Using Cloudera Manager (e.g. monitor jobs, services, security, health of the system, performance metrics)
• Managing Cloudera Services (HDFS, Hbase, Hive, Hue, Impala, Kafka, Oozie, Solr, Flume, Spark, YARN, ZooKeeper, etc.)
• Capacity Management and Planning of the Appliance
• Managing User Accounts and Security on BDA
• Monitoring multiple clusters using Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) & Hadoop monitoring utilities
• Performing patching & upgrades of Cloudera updates
• Hadoop Engineering activities experience
• Managing CDSW (Cloudera Data Science Workbench) Services for Data Science use
• Working with Oracle Support Services to resolve any open issues
• Good to have skills: Splunk Administration
