Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with HTML and CSS.
- Ability to read and understand source code written in Java, Python and/or JavaScript.
- Experience in Java/J2EE with a good understanding of Restful web services, Spring, Hibernate, Relational and No-Sql databases like Oracle, MySql, Cassandra etc.
- Experience with application & services in cloud environment (AWS desired)
- Expertise with tools like POSTMAN, Spit API, Open API, Swagger &Wiki
- Ability to influence and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical people
- Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, complex technical environment with high adaptability and flexibility
- "Self-starter" attitude and the ability to manage competing priorities in a constantly changing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, create, and maintain technical documentation for internal or external engineering audiences.
- Manage complex documentation projects and cover concepts, tutorials, quick-starts, integrated developer tools, APIs, samples, and leverage other types of content such as videos
- Edit, clarify, and proofread documents written by others, and coach non-writers on ways to improve their writing skills.
- Supplement developer documentation with relevant sample code.
Minimum qualifications:
- BE/MS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of experience in software development, technical writing, product documentation, or online publishing.
- 2+ years of experience writing API integration documentation for companies like Google, Amazon, Workday, Salesforce, etc.
- Working in collaboration with software engineers on a daily basis.
