Detailed Job Description:

• Bachelor s degree in Information Systems-related field, or equivalent education and related training
• Ten years of industry-recognized information security experience and technical leadership
• Strong functional and technical knowledge of information security capabilities with deep expertise in one or more of the following areas: Data Security, Application Security, Active Directory, End Point Security, Identity and Access Management, Windows/Unix/Linux Systems Security, Mainframe Security, Perimeter Security, Network Security, Mobility Security, Cloud Security, Cyber Security, Cryptography, or Authentication Systems 
• Strong understanding of application architecture as it relates to authentication and authorization
• Strong understanding of service lifecycle management, strategic planning and the cyber security landscape
• Proficiency in scripting languages (ie. Powershell, Ruby, Python, or Visual Basic). That is, you have written commercial grade automation routines 
• Strong understanding of Cloud (AWS, Azure, etc.) security. Someone who has built / engineered the identity components in the cloud. In a previous role, you would have been a designer and builder. The successful candidate would have been the individual who provided alternatives and was able to describe why certain designs were more favorable than other designs.
• Strong understanding of service lifecycle management, strategic planning and the cyber security landscape
• Ability to establish strong relationships with the corresponding technical community
• Ability to serve as a visionary concerning future technological capabilities and operational scenarios; ability to create new business models and technologies
• Ability to create change
• Ability to unify activities within the BB&T technology community, coordinating with other businesses and engineering organizations, as needed
• Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products
• Ability to travel, occasionally overnight
• Business acumen and effective communication skills
