- Superior writing skills: These are necessary to draft concise, well-researched opinions, memoranda, and other legal documents.
- Excellent research skills: Research skills and the ability to assimilate complex case and statutory law are essential.
- Legal knowledge: Solid knowledge of diverse areas of the law, procedures, jurisdictional rules, and the legal system.
- Strong interpersonal skills: Strong communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively with counsel, litigants, and often the public.
- Support scheduling, obtain equipment and edit presentations and notes.
- Draft, edit and update legal documents, validating for accuracy.
- Develop, implement and validate document management, version processes and discovery processes.
- Liaise with outside counsel, consultants and other departments.
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or equivalent in a related field or a foreign equivalent or closely related field with relevant experience
