Scope of Work:

With general guidance and coaching, you will participate in design, development and implementation of specific new and emerging technologies, platforms and services. You will assist in the assessment of technical viability of new products and technologies. You will work with developers and infrastructure specialists to pilot and evaluate new technologies. You will participate in the development of business cases and obtain approvals for capital expenditures. You must be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Significant creativity is required. A minimum of 3-5 years of related experience is preferred. A Bachelor's degree in related field is preferred.

 

Key Responsibilities:

·  Gain a clear understanding of contribution of assigned tasks to the overall team or project schedule

·  Provide implementation assistance and information about existing implementations to peers

·  Maintain and build core competency of technical and business knowledge; share with colleagues to help drive the future direction of the team

·  Collaboration with Business Lead(s) to produce high quality solutions to better support successful production release

·  Demonstrate strong team work to foster effective team dynamics and cohesive working environment; which includes mentoring less experienced colleagues

·  Collaborate with peer teams to resolve design and implementation details as they evolve

·  Collaborates with technical lead and delivery lead in providing technical leadership throughout entire Software Development Life Cycle (requirements, design, development, testing, implementation)

·  Collaborates with enterprise architects to develop solutions and architectures

·  Develops critical parts of designs and programs and oversees development work of team members

·  Writes high quality requirements

·  Mentors junior team members on software engineering discipline

·  Ensures that software delivered by the team is of high quality and is maintainable

Required Skills and Experience:

·  7+ years technical experience in software development

·  Yes, 3+ years in developer lead role

·  Strong analytical skills

·  Experience in SDLC methodology and development of requirement, design, and testing documentation

·  Sincere passion for Java programming, very strong understanding of its core concepts and ability to write quality code on schedule.

·  Strong Oracle development background

·  Able to effectively interact with project management, business client, and the IT division resources

·  Excellent interpersonal skills

·  Excellent oral and written communication skills

Preferred Skills:

·  5+ years healthcare industry experience

·  Understanding of healthcare payer claims, billing and associated systems

·  Understands and can discuss healthcare trends and concepts in detail

·  Experience with large enterprise projects, preferably associated with the health insurance industry

Software knowledge and experience:

·  Oracle SQL Query 7-10+ years’ experience

·  JAVA knowledge and experience 7-10+ years

·  UNIX with Shell Script knowledge 5+ years’ experience

·  PL/SQL

·  TOAD

Skills which would be a PLUS:

·  5 - 7 years relevant project/program leadership experience

·  Experience with large enterprise projects, preferably associated with the health insurance industry

·  Knowledge and experience of the Project Management Institute’s standards and terminology
