Detailed Job Description:
- Develop and maintain ETL (Data Extraction, Transformation and Loading) mappings using Informatica Designer 8+ to extract the data from multiple source systems that comprise databases like Oracle, SQL Server, flat files to the Staging area and then to the Data Marts.
- Create mappings using different look-ups like connected, unconnected and Dynamic look-up with different caches such as persistent cache.
- Perform impact analysis of the changes done to the existing mappings and SQL and provide understandable feedback.
- Create mappings using reusable components like worklets, mapplets using other reusable transformations.
- Document code
- Demonstrate a strong understanding and coding ability in SQL.
- Work together on regular releases to push workgroups/Informatica code and SQL to production; need to be able to understand typical deployment concepts and processes (i.e. change control).
- Possess strong analytical and communication skills with a knack for learning and understanding business scenarios.
- Have the ability to work both as a team player and individually.
- Participate in providing the project estimates for development efforts.
- Demonstrate a solid work ethic with accountability and awareness to deliver on time and accurate; yet still be able to enjoy time spent on the job.
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or equivalent in a related field or a foreign equivalent is required closely related field with relevant experience
