Detailed Job Description:
  • Red Hat Technical Support Engineer to work with Identity Management Support team:
  • Provide engineering support for Identity Management implementation of Red Hat System Security Services Daemon (SSSD) and related security and availability controls such as LDAP, Kerberos and Samba.
  • As part of Identity Access (SSSD) development, collaborate with other engineers to develop operations utilities for identity: conflict resolution, reporting and ad - hoc requests.
Skills Required:
  • Work experience in UNIX and LINUX administration
  • Well-grounded in Network UNIX System Security
  • Familiarity with Identity Access Management policy and controls
  • Understanding of Red Hat SSSD UNIX-AD Bridge access management configuration setup and control
  • Scripting or programming experience in languages like Bash, C, Python, or PowerShell
  • Setup and support Red Hat SSSD
  • Experience writing LDAP search requests
  • Advanced troubleshooting and debugging skills, problem solving and investigation
  • Understanding of Kerberos ticketing commands
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English
The following are considered a plus:
  • Experience writing scripts using Bash and Python and to troubleshoot and correct Linux issues
  • Red Hat Certified Administrator (RHCA), RHCE, or other Linux certifications
