The Office of the Chief Technology Officer seeks a Network Architect to provide subject matter expertise and executive consulting services in assisting the architecture team and the executive management as a design strategist and plays an advisory role in analyzing technical solutions and defines processes for a business requirement within a service provider and enterprise networks.
The objective of this procurement is to assist and advise in the implementation and design of DCNET’s Government Service Provider Network supporting and connecting critical District of Columbia government infrastructure. The individual will provide executive consultancy and design recommendations based on industry expertise in requirement analysis, functional design and deployment of complex technology solutions across enterprise and service provider networks. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Experience in requirements gathering related to implementation of technology solutions across enterprise and service provider networks.
• Provide hands-on analysis and quality assurance for the DCNET network engineering team, leveraging industry expertise and understanding of large service provider design and deployments of complex technology solutions.
• Experience in analysis, design, configuration and implementation of routers, switches and firewalls in network and security layer models.
• Large Scale Design/Implementation experience with Cisco ASR and Nexus platforms in a Service Provider environment supporting network data and voice subscriber services
