Detailed Job Description / Responsibilities:
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs.
- Install and maintain security patches on the operational and development Redhat linux
- Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required. Configure CPU, memory, and disk partitions as required.
- Repair and recover from hardware or software failures. Coordinate and communicate with impacted support teams.
- Administer and monitor Virtual server infrastructure
- Good understanding of HA and DRS environment..
- Good knowledge about PKI, Certificate installation and troubleshoot certificate issues.
- Hands on experience in handling Proxy related issues.
- Good knowledge on basic networking, subnet, VLAN, firewall and ports
- Administer backups and restores
- Experienced with Change, Incident & Problem management.
- Ability to work within a fast-paced and team environment while managing individual workload.
- Ability to interact with peers in a professional manner and assist team members with varying degrees of technical experience.
- Desire to maintain up-to-date knowledge of new technologies and willingness to teach others.
Qualification:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Linux Administration
- Redhat certification is more preferable
- Experienced with ITIL and ServiceNow ITSM
