Detailed Job Description:
- IMS full function databases with logical relationships.
- Perform PSB/ACBGEN/DBDGEN/online change requests.
- Maintain and Enforce Database standard and best practices
- Analyse and Tune Randomizing parameters for performance improvement randomization
- Monitor and troubleshoot IMS address spaces for any potential issues
- Database Backups, Recon Reorg, Database Recovery, Batch Backouts.
- Data refresh from production databases to Test set environments.
- Usage of IMS utilities (Unload, Load, Image copy, Pointer Checker, Index, Reorg, Recovery, DLT0, ULTRO) with IBM, CA, BMC.
- IBM IMS utilities: IBM IMS change accum, DBRC, OSAM/VSAM utilities, IMS log analysis utilities, IEB* utilities, SYNCSORT
- Ability to liaise with and provide support to developers on IMS development works
- Analyze and resolve problems reported by developers
- Monitor database performance and space utilization, tune databases
- Analyze application requirements for database changes, recommend solutions
- HALDB conversion
- IMS Online reorg
- Parallel Sysplex
- Implement and maintain Database backup and recovery strategy.
- Provide troubleshooting and problem determination during outage or daily issues.
- Provide Production support - on-call 7x24.
