The Business Analyst is responsible for the set of tasks and techniques used to work as a liaison among stakeholders in order to understand the structure, policies, and operations of an organization.

 

Complete Description:

The Department of Health, Women, Infant, & Children (WIC) program seeks a skilled business analyst to assist with the following tasks:

 

1.  Assists BIT in improving the business processes of PA-WIC by leading general and detailed business requirements development sessions and evaluating program application collaborating with development and test team members to ensure business requirements are properly translated into system functionality, monitors system testing and end-user training and recommending needed changes.

2.  Assisting in the design and management of application testing prior to acceptance and usage

3.  Developing test scripts to be followed by staff in conducting testing of new system

4.  Document the current operational requirements to include current WIC service delivery actions, activities and components at every level

5.  Gather and verify programmatic and system requirements - Oversee the definition of the WIC system, subsystem and application specification requirements such as functionality requirements, data requirements, business rules, and process flow and integration requirements for the entire WIC system

6.  Knowledge transfer when the DOH BA positions are filled.

 

This engagement will consist of 40-hour work weeks.

 

This resource will report to and will be supervised by Bureau of Information Technology (BIT) staff.
