Detailed Job Description:

• 3+ years of data modeling/analytics experience 
• At least 3 years experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI. 
• Bachelor’s degree in a data analytics related field (e.g. Statistics, Applied Mathematics, etc.) or equivalent work experience. 
• Experience using a broad range of quantitative analytical techniques, from descriptive statistical analysis to predictive and prescriptive analytic solutions. 
• Importantly, the candidate will have a strong aptitude to determine the appropriate tool for each task. 
• Strong understanding of model lifecycle management. 
• Strong knowledge of SQL, especially for data stitching and data discovery. 
• Strong communication (written and oral), and interpersonal skills, being able to translate models into business insights across the organization. 
• Familiarity with Agile a plus. 
• Knowledge of data structures and data stitching. 
• Ability to relay insights in layman's terms, such that these can be used to inform business decisions. 
• Outstanding mentorship abilities.

• A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques. 

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide innovative analytical insights within the Data Visualization & Insights practice.  
• Conduct detailed data analysis on data used across business units to evaluate business processes and improve on/create new features. 
• Work closely with the Data Platforms team, Data Science team and other Technology Group teams to build powerful, visual reports/dashboards leveraging  machine learning models, relational & OLAP data sources. 
• Perform various data analytics in SQL, Power BI or MS Excel using statistical models or other industry accepted tools 
• Provide relational database expertise to construct and execute SQL queries to be used in data analysis activities 
• Provide data solutions, tools, and capabilities to enable self-service frameworks for data consumers  
• Provide expertise and translate the business needs to design and develop tools, techniques, metrics and dashboards for insights and data visualization. 
• Responsible for developing and executing tools to monitor and report on machine learning model quality 
• Responsible for establishing appreciation and adherence to the principles of data quality management, including metadata, lineage, and business definitions 
• Provide support to Tech teams in managing security mechanisms and data access governance. 
• Partner with shared technical and business resources to effectively deliver and support solutions. 
• Help translate business partner requirements into data and analytical specifications. 
• Assist with data and model governance support. 
• Support training and learning initiatives that help grow talent within Sunbelt. 
• Formulating, suggesting and managing data-driven projects which are geared to furthering Sunbelt’s interests. 
• Suggesting ways in which insights obtained might be used to inform business strategies.
