Detailed Job Description:
- Reporting to Infrastructure and Data Center (IDC) management, this senior cloud network engineering role will perform the following tasks:
- Develop and maintain tools to enhance network visibility and automation for on-premise and cloud (AWS). Aid in migrating production workloads from on-premise to the cloud (AWS).
- Research, recommend, implement and administer networking operations. Serve as architect and consultant regarding all network components, functions, and implementations.
- Troubleshoot and mitigate adverse impact due to network related issues. Be available on a rotating basis to respond to incidents.
- Recommend and develop appropriate networking constructs for AWS Public cloud network platform.
- Configure and maintain cloud network tooling at enterprise scale as part of a global team.
- The work is both independent and collaborative in nature with opportunities to learn and deploy the latest technologies.

- Experience with AWS is highly preferred, but if you have a solid on prem skillset with a desire to work in the latest cloud technologies.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Architect/engineer high availability and automated failover architectures
- Network design / optimization, Load Balancing, Traffic Shaping, and DNS optimization
- Work with Software Engineering, Reliability Engineering, and Security Operations teams to optimize system specifications and support the production applications and infrastructure.
- Create and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IAC) using industry standard platforms.
- Engage in capacity planning and demand forecasting
- Incident Support and on-call rotation to support application availability
- Expert knowledge in designing and deploying dynamically scalable, fault-tolerant on-premise, hybrid and cloud-based networks, that are highly available and highly reliable, in support of a migration effort for existing applications.
- Knowledge of Linux container operations and service mesh constructs (Kubernetes/Istio)
- Expertise in working and architecting in Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Ability to design network solutions on AWS across Availability Zones and Regions
- Expertise in network infrastructure and concepts (VPNs, routing protocols, TCP/IP, IPv4 and v6, VXLAN, OSI layers, etc.)
- Experience with selection, design, implementation, and support of enterprise network systems and diagnostic tools

- Bachelor's Degree in technical or business discipline or equivalent experience;
- An understanding of AWS Public Cloud and Hybrid Cloud networking environments
- 5-7+ years of private network technologies and related experience
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect/Sysops/Devops Associate/Professional (certification · Previous Cloud Experience with Amazon Web Services.
- AWS-specific skills (Networking: Route53, Direct Connect, etc.) and (Security: WAF, Config, CloudWatch, etc.)
- CCNP or higher Cisco certification strongly preferred
- Experience with automated configuration and deployment; Chef, Puppet, Terraform, or other Infrastructure as Code (IAC) frameworks.
- Experience working in an Agile, Scrum and DevOps work environments
- Strong delivery mindset, excellent consultative communication and negotiation skills, proven ability to work effectively with internal/external clients, vendors and consultants.
- Ability to communicate effectively across the organization - to Engineers, Product Managers, Sales, Customer Satisfaction, and Executives - supported by metrics and analysis.
