Job Responsibilities:

The Technology Architect is responsible for designing, developing, maintaining and troubleshooting high performance mission critical applications to meet the company’s strategic objectives.

The candidate will have in-depth knowledge of technologies involved and SDLC models (Waterfall and / or Agile) and experience in Cloud Native Architecture and Development. As well as: 

• Helping public sector customers architect scalable, highly available application solutions that leverage AWS services. 
• Architecting and developing customer applications to be cloud optimized Working as both an infrastructure and application development specialist. 
• Facilitating discussions among other developers to exchange new ideas and improvements. 
• Continually evaluate emerging technologies to identify opportunities, trends and best practices that can be used to strengthen technology platform and development practices. 

Basic Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive, relevant work experience in lieu of every year of education. Candidates that have completed a Master's degree program strongly preferred. 
• 10 + years of experience in Solution/ Application Architecture on Public/private clouds. 
• Undertake capacity planning for all storage, compute resources and network bandwidth. 
• Well versed with Project SDLC and involved in all phases of Application development. 
• Proven experience and understanding of architecture principles across infrastructure platforms, security, data, integration and applications layers. 
• Hands- on experience on Linux server administration and managing Backup/recovery and replication infrastructure. 
• Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD). 
• Hands- on familiarity with CloudFormation. 
• Experience with configuration management platforms (e.g. Chef, Puppet, Salt, or Ansible. 
• Exposure to Agile development methodologies Certified in AWS Solution Architecture. 
• Expert technical skills in: 
  • Network, security and communications (design, devices, protocols) 
  • Experience in Java, Python or any Scripting languages 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Networks or related field. 
• Experience working in the public sector.
