Short Description:
Technical Writer develops & maintains user & technical documentation and project process documentation for Application Teams. TW understands the user’s view of applications and /or technology and is able to put procedures in a logical sequence.
Complete Description:
Specifically for MMS – the tasks required for the Technical Writer:
• Enhance user training documentation for the MMS applications including documentation required for the operations support.
• Develop on-line source documentation as appropriate.
• Identify and create documentation and templates needed by the Application Teams.
• Ensure appropriate control access/use of documentation materials.
• Determine procedures for use of on-line documentation tools and version control documentation as appropriate.
• Ensure messages and terminology is consistent across all written materials.
• Communicate and work with customer representative as necessary.
• Work with Application Team members to enhance their understanding of end-user and technical documentation.
• Communicate accurate and useful status updates.
• Manage and report time spent on all work activities.
• Identify and track issues, risks and action items.
