The primary responsibility of this role will be to provide technical expertise throughout the complete cycle of the engagement. The ideal candidate will be part of team with existing Amazon Web Services skills; they will be able to undertake customer engagements related to cloud architecture with a specific focus on AWS.
Responsibilities will include:
Green field development of Amazon Web Services infrastructure (EC2, RDS, EMR, etc.)
Customer workshops to help them shape their journey to AWS
Design, document and implement strategies around Cloud
Assist Cloud Architects to design AWS architecture
Required Skills:
AWS core services, including: Compute and Networking, Storage and CDN, Database, Application Services, Deployment and Management
Solid knowledge of Linux Systems Administration/Engineering
Security features that AWS provides and best practices
Network technologies as they relate to AWS networking, including: DNS and load balancing, Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), and AWS Direct Connect
Scripting skills on both Windows and Linux with Microsoft PowerShell, Bash or other
At least five years of IT industry experience
Preferred Skills:
Solid knowledge of Linux Systems Administration/Engineering
Automation Tools (e.g. Chef/Puppet)
Webserver (e.g. Nginx, Apache)
Scripting experience in at least one of the following; Ruby, Python, Bash
RESTful Web Services, XML, JSON
Networking concepts including routing tables, access control lists, firewalls, NAT, HTTP, DNS, TCP/IP, OSI model
