Detailed Job Description:

The Wireless Engineer will be a member of our WiFi engineering team, providing technical support on operational and maintenance tasks and network deployment projects.
This is an on - site position located in New York metropolitan area.

Responsibilities:

• Work on the implementation, operation and maintenance of the wireless network infrastructure and services.
• Work closely with other departments for WiFi deployment projects.
• Maintain wireless network documentation.
• Monitoring of network alarms and KPIs.
• Perform troubleshooting of network issues.
• Engage with vendors to solve issues, implement and test new network features.
• Perform software upgrades of wireless network components.
• Testing of network features.

Technical skills:

• Knowledge of Cisco WLC and AP (Ruckus WLC/AP a plus)
• Familiar with 802.1x, RADIUS, EAP, EoGRE (SoftGRE), PMIPv6, CAPWAP
• Knowledge of Wifi design tools such as Ekahau
• Knowledge of IP communication (TCP/IP, routing, switching, NAT, DHCP and network security)
• HotSpot 2.0 / Passpoint (802.11u)
• Diagnostic tools Wireshark
• Experience with Cisco Prime and/or DNA Center a plus
