Detailed Job Description:

As part of our Delivery Team, the Mainframe Developers will be responsible for effective design, development, validation, and support activities, and ensuring that our client's requirements and objectives are fully satisfied.

• Gather the requirements and specifications to understand the client requirements in a detailed manner and translate the same into system requirements.
• Play a key role in the overall estimation of work requirements to provide the right information on project estimations to Technology Leads and Project Managers.
• Logical thinking and problem-solving skills along with an ability to collaborate.
• Work in a diverse, multiple stakeholder team environment.

• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience as a Mainframe Developer. 
• In-depth understanding of mainframe technologies, e.g., COBOL, JCL, VSAM, or CICS, as wells as DB2 or SQL databases.
• Hands-on experience using TSO / ISPF, XPEDITOR, QMF, FILEAID, SORT utilities, or StarTool utilities.
• Hands-on experience with version control tools such as ChangeMan or Endeavor.
• Expertise in batch processing and providing inputs for batch scheduling.
• Knowledge of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
• Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive, relevant work experience in lieu of every year of education. Candidate's that have completed a Master’s degree program strongly preferred.

• Knowledge of Java or other frontend technologies.
• Prior exposure to Mainframe modernization projects.
• Healthcare domain experience.
• Exposure to Agile methodology.
• Knowledge of JIRA and Service Now. 
• Ability to create tools using REXX or CLIST.
• Master’s Degree, or foreign equivalent, from an accredited institution
