Job Duties: 

• Performance engineering requirements gathering for FedEx tracking identification system - work with business, project management to identify the performance critical scenarios, workload model, test data requirements and performance SLA's
• Design detailed performance engineering strategy
• Performance script automation using  any of the tools - Gatling, Loadrunner, Jmeter, SOAP UI
• Design performance scenarios and test data
• Execute baseline, performance, stress test runs to identify performance bottlenecks
• Monitor the infrastructure, application and database for performance using Appdynamics or any such APM tool
• Work with DBA's to monitor Oracle, DataStax for performance and analyze the performance metrics
• Identify performance bottlenecks related to Java code, infrastructure, and database
• Work with development, architecture, and infrastructure teams to resolve the performance bottlenecks and validate tuning recommendations
• Report performance engineering results to various stakeholders

Education: The minimum qualification required for the performance of the above specialty occupation duties is a bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or equivalent in a related field or a foreign equivalent is required closely related field with relevant experience.
