Detailed Job Description:

  • IT work experience (3-5 years).
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification (required).
  • Experience managing successful, large-scale projects that include multiple diverse teams (5+ years).
  • Experience utilizing Microsoft Project to track and maintain projects (5+ years).
  • Experience developing and maintaining detailed project plans based on work breakdown structures (5+ years).
  • Experience with PMO methodologies and documentation (5+ years).
  • Experience with meeting facilitation and documentation (5+ years).
  • Experience creating and presenting internal and external status reports (5+ years).
  • Experience with Risk and Issue Management (5+ years).
  • Leadership experience
  • Experience managing and reporting projects in compliance with Rule 60GG-1, Florida Administrative Code (preferred).
  • Experience working with technical programming teams (preferred).
  • Experience with state government projects (preferred).
  • Experience using Offender Based Information System (OBIS) (preferred).
  • Experience with IT standards in a criminal justice environment (preferred).
  • Experience managing large projects for a government agency (preferred).
  • Certification in Agile or Scrum-based Project Management (preferred).
  • ITIL Service Management Foundations Certified (preferred).

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage resource-loaded and leveled project plans.
  • Serve as a liaison with users.
  • Provide project progress reports to internal and external stakeholders as well as executive leadership.
  • Manage resources for associated projects.
  • Maintain all project artifacts in accordance with PMO standards and other documentation as necessary to ensure compliance with Chapter 60GG-1, Florida Administrative Code.
  • Work closely with customers, stakeholders and IT software developers to document business requirements.
  • Develop As-Is, To-Be, and other required business analysis documentation.
  • Follow a standard set of practices that ensure the integrity and quality of project artifacts;
  • Work independently as part of a larger cross-functional team.

EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree, from an accredited college/university, in Computer Science Information Systems, other related field, or four (4) years of equivalent work experience.
