Minimum Requirements:

Skills Required : Strong communications skills are required to work with a dynamic, global team of developers. The tasks require excellent coding skills.  While we would strongly prefer direct Scala practical experience, if the candidate has had no exposure to Scala, he/she would need to have very strong Java knowledge and experience to be able to quickly make the jump to Scala.

Skills Desired :

The candidate would ideally have some exposure to financial products and trading systems. While our current focus is fixed income products, any other product exposure would also be desirable

Description:

Experience Level = 3-7 years 

Position Description : Hands on developer who will work on enhancing a distributed, cross-asset, risk calculation platform written in Scala. In this role, the candidate will be working on a variety of tasks such as class design, scala refactoring (e.g. increasing type safety in existing code), performance tuning of risk and valuation runs, building various financial components (based on candidates’ product and risk knowledge).

The ideal candidate will be a strong technologist capable of quickly learning existing data models and code/design patterns.
