Detailed Job Description:

  • Support and upgrade of Ongoing Operations and client infrastructure including installation, upgrades, and maintenance of MFG and CORP Windows servers, Citrix, VMware, networks, security devices and other key infrastructure.
  • Manage network area storage and allocations based on client growth.
  • Manage Microsoft and other vendor licensing as required to support client growth or business needs.
  • Work directly with "C" level resources at our client credit unions across the country to clarify requirements and deliver solutions or fix problems.
  • Lead the onboarding for new applications / servers and ensuring critical information is gathered to be able to configure systems for high availability.
  • Troubleshoot and remediate hardware, software, and Microsoft issues as they arise, working with customers if required.
  • Develop best practices, and procedures to support an efficient and effective deployment and support process.
  • Provide expert guidance to customers on best practices.
  • Perform in annual client disaster recovery tests.
  • In the event of a disaster or production down even, is responsible to respond and contribute to the resolution of the operational disaster.
  • This position may involve working extended hours, or shifting schedules to accommodate required work, and the employee to be flexible with schedule.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience/Skills/Knowledge - General

  • 5 to 10 years information technology experience VMware and Windows administration.
  • Exposure to ITIL processes such as incident, change, problem and change management.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • A solid team player who can work individually as well as collaboratively.
  • Effective and clear communication skills, with ability to describe complex technical scenarios in a concise manner with confidence to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Willingness to learn quickly, a can-do attitude and motivated to succeed and grow.

Experience/Skills/Knowledge - VMware

  • In-depth knowledge and experience on VMware ESX and ESXi (5.x, 6.x, 7.x) hypervisors installation and administration.
  • In depth troubleshooting skills in VCenter, ESX and ESXi hosts, Networking and storage.
  • Capacity planning skill for virtual hosts and VMs.
  • Experience on planning, deploying and maintain VMware vSphere environments.
  • Experience in consolidation and upgrade.
  • VM deployment skills form Templates and OVA/OVF.
  • P2 V and V 2V conversion skills.
  • VMware integrated backup and restore solutions.
  • Citrix experience is a plus.

Experience/Skills/Knowledge - VMware:

  • In-depth knowledge and experience on Windows server operating systems (Windows 2019,2016, 2012, 2008) management and administration.
  • Active Directory experience.
  • O365 Administration experience.
  • High-level trouble shooting skill required on OS related issues, which include memory dump analysis skills and performance tuning.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience on server security hardening with includes patching, antivirus, PKI infrastructure and IPSec encryptions.
  • Good knowledge on Microsoft clustering and NLB services.
  • Experience on designing Server infrastructure.
  • Good knowledge on storage and networking which help to design server.
  • Good control on windows command line tools and power shell/VB scripting.
  • Working experience on Windows infrastructure services like FTP, Telnet, DNS and DHCP etc.
  • Good knowledge on Microsoft licensing for Servers, Terminal services etc.

Certificates and Licenses:

  • Microsoft, Cisco, and VMware certifications are highly preferred.

Working Environment:

  • Must be able to work in controlled environments requiring special gowning. Will be required to follow gowning requirements and wear protective clothing over the head, face, hands, feet and body.
  • No make-up, jewelry, contact lenses, nail polish or artificial fingernails may be worn in the manufacturing environment.
  • Must be able to work multiple shifts, including weekends.
  • Must be able to work overtime as required.
  • May be required to work in a confined area.
