Detailed Job Description:

  • Hands on experience on L2 activities related to Unix Administration
  • Knowledge of UNIX and LINUX operating systems, storage environment and file systems.
  • Detailed knowledge of UNIX principles, file editing, UNIX commands, and file manipulation
  • Installation and upgradation of Unix servers
  • Setting up and maintaining UNIX user accounts and access management systems
  • Creating backup and recovery policies
  • Applying patches and upgrades when necessary.
  • Responding to user requests and software errors
  • Create analysis report for top issue types, root causes, applications and processes that contributed to recurring issues
  • Develop client specific templates, reusable artifacts to support a wider team at large scale
  • Develop scripts to improve Infrastructure processes

Job Responsibilities:

  • Attend and host meetings and provide support in the form of targeted agendas, meeting notes, communications, and follow-up delivery
  • Maintain relevant and current professional knowledge via in-house training, online resources, attendance at professional events, and personal investment in continued education and certification
  • Monitor industry trends for changes, risks, releases, and advancements in cloud services and technologies
  • Develop and maintain working relationships and collaborate with various vendors/other stakeholders
  • Analyze and review existing processes and procedures to determine areas of possible improvement that will lead to gains in efficiency and security
  • Need to support knowledge transfer with the objective of providing value-adding consulting solutions that enable our clients to meet the changing needs of the global landscape.
