• Vertica DBA
• Strong debugging skills to investigate query performance.
• Should have good knowledge on Unix, Shell Scripting and Python Scripting.

• Should be able create and maintain apis in ATOMS and should be comfortable with a Java IDE, Java, and at least familiarity of Groovy.

• Must have working knowledge of Vertica database architecture column orientation, compression, projections, segmentations, partitions, high availability and security.
• Understanding of Vertica architecture migrate, install, configure, manage Vertica system and managing Vertica backup, recovery and restore operations.
• Demonstrates indepth knowledge of database internals and data structures.
• Strong debugging skills to investigate query performance.

Top 3 responsibilities you would expect the Subcon to shoulder and execute:

1. Role will include vertica dba, monitoring, raw query and db level optimizations, and ability to detect software and hardware issues and relay as need
2. Need to take up development tasks as well, including ability to create and maintain APIs in ATOMS,
3. Ability to work in team in diverse multiple stakeholder environment
