QUALIFICATIONS
· Five years’ experience as a Java (J2EE) Developer
· Five years’ experience developing in Object Oriented and web interface applications
· Three years’ experience as a Lead Developer
· ****Two years’ experience developing and/or supporting web applications for Public or Private Pension Systems
· Three years’ experience with the Spring Framework
· Three years’ experience developing web applications utilizing XML
· Three years’ experience with Oracle Databases
· One year experience with Clear Case; Clear Quest or similar configuration tools
· Five years’ experience with SQL
· One year experience with Eclipse IDE or similar tool
· Five years’ experience using the SDLC methodology proficiently
· Five years’ experience translating technical specifications and/or physical design into code enhancements and changes
· Knowledge and experience using Unix (Shell programming), Linux
· JAD facilitation and conducting design and code peer reviews
· Five years’ experience using strong analytical skills for evaluating business needs and developing innovative solutions
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Ability to work effectively with all levels of technical staff and management
· Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in written form
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
· One year experience with Ilog JRules (within the last three (3) years)
· One year experience with Web Services, COTS integration, and design patterns (within the last three (3) years)
· One year experience with Workflow/Oracle BPEL (within the last three (3) years)
· Knowledge of public pension systems
· Knowledge/experience with Governmental Retirement and Health Benefit Program functions and processes similar to CalPERS
· UML Modeling
· Knowledge and experience with Adobe LiveCycle
· Knowledge and experience using Cognos BI Reporting Authoring
· Strong leadership skills with ability to multi-task, to use tact and to employ good judgment
