Job Duties: 

  • Create electrical wire harness routing and installation for battery and IC forklift truck in special mechanical CAD tool CATIA V5 EHI. 
  • Use specialized software ZUKEN CR5000, design of complex electrical Schematics and generate manufacturing drawings with ease of manufacturing and assembly (DFMA). 
  • Design concept / mechanism development for localization to American market of fork lifts. 
  • Determine client requirements for new product sub systems connectivity with electronic control module (ECM). 
  • Design Parts, Assembly management, Sheet Metal and Drafting modules of CATIA application. 
  • Select the required electric components selection like connectors, spools, hardware etc. and it is the responsibility of this engineer to connect the major components together without compromising system performance. 
  • Carryout wire harness testing such as shower test, puddle test and Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) tests, document and evaluate the test result and Identifying and Solving the prototype truck issues. 
  • Provide countermeasures for the concerns from environmental testing such as shower test, puddle test and EMI test. 
  • Ensure lessons learned from validation and technical concerns are captured and documented and professionally tracked through a satisfactory timely resolution. 
  • Perform GD&T and Tolerance stack-up analysis to optimize designs to assembly fit conditions. 
  • Develop workflow and process manuals to maximize efficiencies in new and established processes. 
  • Participate in project review meetings with client & Business Unit heads. 
  • Work closely with Mechanical and Electronic design departments for product schematic and configuration.   

Education: The minimum qualification required for the performance of the above specialty occupation duties is a bachelor's degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or a related occupation or a foreign equivalent is required closely related field with relevant experience.
