Job Duties: 

• Interact with the customer and participated in user requirement sessions to analyze, gather and design business requirements. 
• Develop and maintain applications with Oracle Forms, Crystal Reports, Appeon PowerBuilder, PL/SQL, VB.NET, Unix, C#/Power script code utilizing the ASP.NET framework 4.0/4.5 
• Ensure that the correct data calculations and data display happens by monitoring the SQL jobs, which run in varying frequencies. 
• Communicate with the users and Managers to enhance the ease of the application based on the requirements. 
• Modify existing code to satisfy the change requested. 
• Develop data models to support new change requirements. 
• Normalize the tables/ relationships to arrive at an effective relational schema without any redundancy to design an OLTP system for the application. 
• Work on creating Object Oriented Programming objects like classes and methods using C#/Power script to perform the necessary calculations and perform exception handling and displaying the detailed errors. 
• Create and modify the Oracle database objects including tables, indexes, views, triggers, procedures and functions to support the changing functionality. 
• Develop Oracle Forms, Crystal Reports, Appeon PowerBuilder to incorporate the requested enhancements into the current application. 
• Perform query optimization using the execution plan and working closely with the DBA's to enhance the performance of the database. 
• Troubleshoot to resolve production issues and bugs within the application environment. 
• Provide support to the users, ensuring timely and effective resolution. 
• Write detailed classes and methods in C#/Power script to connect to the Oracle database to fetch data as well as insert data back into the database. 
• Schedule timely code reviews and maintain version control for code reuse. 
• Support deployment of code into production and resolve any issue post deployment 
• Perform Unit Testing and Regression Testing on the code developed to ensure proper application workflow. 
• Write and provide SQL Queries to the users to generate daily/weekly/monthly reports based on the required criteria. 
• Work on Migrating Software application from Appeon PowerBuilder 11 to Appeon, PowerBuilder 2019 and then migration to Appeon Power web application utilizing Power Server and Internet Information Services (IIS) 
• Run batch jobs developed in Unix shell script and PL/SQL to send out reports to multiple agencies and email notifications in case of any failures in the application. 
• Engage with customers, providing technical design solutions and providing alternative workflow to ensure that the business does not halt. 
• Ensure all automated processes are documented, including how to overcome errors that may occur. 
• Design data model to create new interface for online licensing application using PL/SQL procedures, functions, triggers and packages to route data from the load table to its respective primary tables in Oracle 12C/11g database .
• Work on migration and resolution of any issues following the Oracle 11g to Oracle 12C on Exalogic platform .
• Create new and modifying existing pbls in Appeon PowerBuilder to resolve any issues post software application migration .

Education: The minimum qualification required for the performance of the above specialty occupation duties is a bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or equivalent in a related field or a foreign equivalent is required closely related field with relevant experience.
