Job Responsibilities:
- Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle.
- Develop and/or modify COBOL programs while providing expertise from concept and design to testing.
- Write well designed, testable, efficient code.
- Ensure designs are following specifications and best practices.
- Prepare and produce releases of software components.
- Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review.
Expectations:
- Prior experience with Unemployment Insurance Benefits systems
- Proven working experience in COBOL development and MVS JCL
- Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases, SQL
- Experience in developing and consuming SOAP web services utilizing CICS Web Services and XML.
- Experience in working in teams using Agile methodologies

- CICS COBOL and BMS (15 years of experience REQUIRED)
- DB2 SQL (6 years of experience REQUIRED)
- DFSORT or SYNCSORT (6 years of experience REQUIRED)
- TSO/ISPF (6 years of experience REQUIRED)
- IBM MQSeries (4 years of experience HIGHLY DESIRED)
- Unix System Services (1 year experience HIGHLY DESIRED)
- Expeditor (1 year experience HIGHLY DESIRED)
