Senior Oracle DBA

Engagement Type: Contract

Location: Providence, RI

Duration: 6 Months

 

*Primary role is Senior Oracle DBA and Application EBS Application Administrator

*Experience upgrading, patching, and tuning Oracle databases 9i, 10g and 11g within a Windows or Client UX environment
*Database platform experience: Oracle; SQL Server secondary DBA skills are a plus
*DB Server environment architecture and design experience, implementation planning and estimate experience
*Programming experience (some or all): Perl, Shell scripting, .Net, Java, SQL, PL/SQL, TR-SQL, ETL, other
*Specific DBA experience with (some or all): SQL DB Replication, SQL DB Mirroring, SQL Log Shipping , Oracle RMAN, Oracle RAC, Oracle Database Vault & Audit Vault, Oracle Data Guard, Oracle GRID, SAN, Nimbus, STATSPACK, TKPROF and EXPLAINPLAN.

Oracle EBS Application Administrator skills required
*Primary role is Senior Oracle DBA and Application EBS Application Administrator
*Experience patching and upgrading the Oracle E-Business Suite consisting of the following modules: General Ledger, Sourcing, IProcurrement, AP, HR, ISupplier, Project and Grants, Time and Attendance.
*Experience troubleshooting database and E-Business Suite issues at the application and database layer.

Delivery experience
*Software delivery methodology skills and experience (including planning, estimating, release management)
*Software Development and Delivery Leadership experience (e.g. CMMI and PMP)
*Strong Written and Verbal communication skills (both client and technical level)
*DB architecture and design technical writing skills
*Strong Problem Solving skills
