Job Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement enterprise applications using IBM WebSphere middleware technology and related tools such as IBM WebSphere Application Server, IBM WebSphere MQ, and IBM WebSphere Message Broker
- Migrate legacy applications from Easytrieve to COBOL in the cloud
- Design and develop new software solutions based on business requirements
- Develop technical specifications and test plans
- Provide technical support to end - users
- Perform system and application analysis and design
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain software solutions
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in IBM WebSphere development
- Experience in COBOL and Easytrieve development
- Experience with IBM Websphere tools such as IBM WebSphere Application Server, IBM WebSphere MQ, and IBM WebSphere Message Broker
- Experience in cloud migration and re-writing legacy applications from Easytrieve to COBOL in the cloud
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
- Experience with agile software development methodologies is a plus
