Experience LEADING an effort for Defining, Developing, and implementing web Accessibility Assessment and remediation of a website is CRITICAL to the success of this project to make Judiciarys website ADD Compliant.
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science but relevant to digital, accessibility or application/web designing or masters in human-computer interaction
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with fluency in the English Language
Five (5+) years of experience working with public sector clients on accessibility compliance with WCAG 2.0 (level AA) and ADA Section 508 compliance.
Knowledge of the laws surrounding web accessibility, including WCAG 2.0 guideline and Section 508 guidelines
Five (5+) years of experience working as the lead for defining, developing, and implementing web accessibility assessment and remediation programs including knowledge of Section 508 and WCAG accessibility standards and requirements.
Knowledge of ADA auditing
Experience using common assistive technologies, including screen readers, magnifiers, and voice recognition software products.
Experience with keyboard testing
Experience using and or supporting users of JAWS (Job Access with Speech).
Five (5) or more years of experience conducting accessibility testing on multiple platform and devices, including iOS and Android mobile devices as well as mobile websites and applications
Two (2) or more years of experience engaging and working with mobility impaired, audio, low vision, and or blind End User
Five (5+) years experience with front-end languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Knowledge of WAI-ARIA a technology that can help with problems by adding in further semantics that browsers and assistive technologies can recognize and use to let users know what is going on
Can answer developer, designer, and business questions about accessibility requirements.
