The resource will provide expertise in the planning, constructing and execution of release tests.

Develop an expertise in the testing principles, processes and methods as defined in the methodology framework.

Responsible for ensuring that the testing standards, guidelines, and testing methodology are applied as specified in testing approach, and that all testing results are easily accessible and understandable.

May perform defect coordination functions, ensuring that test defects are tracked to closure and that the defect repository is kept up-to-date with the current status. Also included in the defect coordination function is the creation and distribution of test status metrics as required by the project.

 

Throughout the course of the contract, the consultant shall participate in the design and build-out of the RUP applications hosted by a third party vendor and support migrations of these sensitive applications to the Accenture hosted Portals environment. 

The consultant shall participate in Technical architecture work sessions for the existing and future portal design.  The Consultant will assist with detailed design creation and build-out of the transactional portal environment. The Subcontractor professional consultant shall review, mentor, and provide technical guidance to other project team members as appropriate. 

 

Please note the proposed Candidates MUST meet the following Required Technical Skills for consideration in filling the position:

 

Required Technical Skills:

• Must have current IRS Security Clearance

• Must be currently involved in the IRS MEF or current RUP environments

• Experience in UNIX Shell Scripting to execute technical tests

• Knowledge or stack execution; failover procedures and VMware API calls.

• Knowledge of messaging traffic management; load control mechanisms

• Knowledge of identifying, acquiring, conditioning, populating and maintaining test data

• Knowledge of test environment management and infrastructure data requests.

 

Responsibilities:

• Create test models for release testing (plans, data and scripts) including the identification, collection and/or creation of test data

• Determine and meet time estimates and schedules for testing efforts

• Define Release Test Plans and criteria for user acceptance including entry/exit criteria

• Develop, update and maintain quality testing standards and procedures

• Communicate effectively with customers and software vendors as appropriate

• Assist in the planning, creation and control of the test environment(s)

• Facilitate and/or participate in structured walk-through and peer reviews

• Participate in the coordination and execution of release testing

• Update and test release installation procedures

• Participate in Lessons Learned as appropriate
