Required Experience:
- 7+ years DBA expertise (2+ years hands on experience specific to Couchbase)
- Expertise as a development and application DBA
- 1+ year experience working within AWS or Azure
- Proficient in writing SQL, N1QL and performance optimization
- Expertise with Sync Gateway
- 1+ years experience designing, developing, tuning, optimizing, deploying and updating Couchbase dataset in a highly available production environment
- Prior experience expanding Couchbase functionality in an enterprise environment
- Expertise in writing code in Shell or Bash at minimum (Python preferred)
- Prior expertise working in a Linux environment
- Deep Technical knowledge of DBMS products and ecosystem; e.g. storage formats, access algorithms, data management processes, administration, data maintenance, replication, high availability, encryption, etc.
- Ability to monitor and tune databases and DBMS to reach high performance; e.g. use data monitoring and analysis tools, tune configuration parameters, alter physical designs, benchmark, etc.
Plusses:
- Prior SW development programming expertise (Java is preferred)
- Expertise in multiple NosSQL databases
- Knowledge of eventing functions
