Duties and responsibilities:
- Under general supervision design, develop, implement SQL queries, create custom reports to enhance organizational productivity.
- Develop, implement, and optimize stored procedures and functions using T-SQL
- Create ad-hoc queries and reports as requested and provide on-going analytical support
- Work with users to understand business processes, gather/document project requirements and translate them into reports and applications.
- Works on process flows and screen designs and provides storyboarding to support system design. Review and interpret ongoing business report requirements
- Provide timely scheduled management reporting
- Thoroughly test solutions to ensure functionality and integrity
- Troubleshooting of third party and custom software applications
- Help Desk support as needed to support production applications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, MIS, Engineering, or related fields.
- 7+ years of experience as a SQL Developer or similar role.
- Development of complex T-SQL queries and corresponding database objects
- Experience across the SDLC, including requirements, design, development, testing, documentation, training, deployment, operations, support, and maintenance.
- Development experience in scripting using .Net or Java technologies
- Familiarity with code versioning tools, like Git, SVN, and TFS
- Excellent Linux/Unix command knowledge and cloud infrastructure (Amazon Web Services)
- Ability to work well with business unit SME's, Business Analysts, vendors, and end users in cross-functional teams.
- Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
- Track record of meeting or exceeding client expectations, personal performance expectations, and achieving project goals.
