Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the design, implementation, and support of physical database management structures, as well as database recovery, back-up, security, archiving and conversion strategies.
• Focuses on enhancing database performance through proactive monitoring, reporting, and tuning and provides technical assistance.
• Collaborates with application development teams on various database issues and takes a lead role in problem resolution.
• Requires knowledge and experience with designing, tuning, implementing, and supporting database management structures (relational, hierarchical, distributed) and their associated platforms.
• Requires experience in data manipulation, normalization, storage allocation, fragmentation, and replication.
• Proven experience as troubleshooter of database hardware, software and/or communications problems.
• Position requires moderate to complex problem-solving abilities.
• Address and resolve Issues in application design, regulatory changes and program failures.
• Minimum 5+ years experience required.
