Position Summary
- Ensure data solutions meet the business requirements and align with our data program vision of increasing interoperability, ensuring reliability, and enabling our end users to make data - driven decisions.
- Support the team by helping us do things the right way, the first time through compliance with standards and principles, traceability to enterprise reference models, and alignment with the target enterprise architecture vision.
- Provide leadership and oversight during the full solution lifecycle to ensure the deliverables meet the business requirements, high standards of quality, and adherence to architectural standards.
- Collaborate with business process owners and IT partners to drive the business case review process by reviewing requirements and providing high-level solutions to determine the level of effort and estimated costs.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Domain expert for Data Catalog and MDM solutions; providing direction and technical expertise in the implementation, integration, and operationalization of Data Catalog and MDM tools and processes.
- Design, develop, and implement solutions.
- Support active projects throughout the lifecycle, providing oversight and guidance on development objects to ensure consistency with the original design as well as the overall quality of deliverables.
- Investigate operational requirements and seek effective business solutions through the design and implementation of technology solutions and/or business process improvements.
- Proactively identify gaps and opportunities to improve existing functionality.
- Lead design process, and either drive delivery process directly or transition to support analyst teams to drive completion of delivery.
- Business case development & project scoping
- Support the development of project business cases by evaluating business requirements and using a deep knowledge of business processes and solutions capabilities in the area to identify high-level solutions and level-of-effort estimates.
- Support prioritization process for smaller, non-project prioritization process by reviewing requests and interpreting requirements to drive high-level solutioning and level of effort collection.
Support
- Provide advanced production support in situations requiring escalation.
- For major issues or system problems, initiate and lead a small cross-functional team to resolve issues through business process or technology improvements.
Maintain standards
- Contributes project artifacts to architecture repositories, and ensures ongoing maintenance.
Collaboration
- Manage working relationships with Business Super Users for the respective process.
- Support the Business Relationship Manager (Product Owner) in efforts to manage business stakeholders.
- Partners with solution architects from other areas to create cohesive, integrated, and supportable solutions.
Research
- Identify new and emerging hardware and software technologies and products based on own area of expertise, assess their relevance and potential value to the organization, and contribute to briefings of staff and management.
- Proven negotiation and influencing skills.
- Knowledge of ITIL Service Operations concepts.
- Ability to highlight/identify gaps in existing functionality and frame the problem in Technology terms.

Education And / Or Experience
- Bachelors degree in computer science or related field required.
- 8 + years of IT experience.
- 5+ years of direct support and design experience with Data Catalog and Master Data Management
- 3+ years of Azure, Azure Data Factory, and Data Bricks experience (preferred)
- Proven experience with the analysis of complex business and/or systems/technical requirements or issues and the ability to develop innovative solutions.
- 5+ years experience acting as a manager, team lead, project lead, or some other position of leadership and responsibility greater than individual performer is required.
