Roles and responsibilities:
- To inform the facilities regarding the out - of-stock medications in the pharmacy and their availability
- To communicate the alternative drug, dosage form or the quantity available at the pharmacy and get approval for the same
- Get patient specific data from the EMRs that supports the delivery of the drug to the facility
- Provide outbound call services for Out of stock and non-available medications.
- Provide Clinical clarifications based on the interventions provided by the Registered Pharmacists to the nurses.
- Act as a liaison and transfer necessary calls to the RPh such as new or Re-Admission orders, Verbal orders, Stat Delivery, Dosing, Clinical information, IV orders and Delivery issue calls.
- Working on clinical reports: Insulins, Duplicate medication, Over-the-Counter medications and Brand & Generics medications.
Experience/qualifications:
- Knowledge of brand names and generic medications.
- Knowledge of drug classification and Drug-Drug interactions.
- Pharmacy graduate (Doctor of Pharmacy/B. Pharmacy)
- Knowledge of MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel & Internet Explorer
- Strong prioritizing & organizational skills
- Ability to work independently, accurately and efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and requirements.
