Job Responsibilities:
- Provide operational support on a 24x7 rotation basis.
- Plan and execute data migration and backup strategies for NetApp storage and AWS.
- Respond to and resolve technical issues, incidents, and outages in a timely manner.
- Document procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps for internal knowledge base.
- Implement and configure storage systems, including SANs, NAS, and cloud solutions.
- Collaborate with team members and vendors to prevent or resolve incidents/problems.
- Monitor storage performance and capacity, optimizing resources for performance and cost-effectiveness.
- Troubleshoot storage-related issues and perform root cause analysis.
- Develop and implement data backup and disaster recovery plans.
- Contribute to the continual refinement of processes, policies, and best practices.
- Maintain documentation including troubleshooting guides and support manuals.
- Contribute to operational reporting including health check reports and incident/problem reports.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in SAN administration and zoning.
- Hands-on experience with PURE Storage and proficiency in AWS Storage Services.
- Experience with Windows and Linux systems administration.
- Professional experience with storage platforms such as NetApp and ECS.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with ServiceNow and JIRA.
- Certification in storage technologies (e.g., NetApp, AWS).
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
- Knowledge of data backup and disaster recovery best practices.
