Must Haves:

  • 5+ years' experience engineering, developing, and supporting MFT solutions (They are a TIBCO shop, but experience with other tools like IBM Sterling, File Gateway, connect: Direct, etc. will be considered)
  • Strong experience using protocols/technologies such as FTP, SFTP, FTPS, SSH, SSL, HTTPS, AS2, and secure file transfer methodologies
  • Understanding of encryption algorithms (PGP, SFTP/SSH, etc.), secure file transfer practices, networking/network protocols, firewalls and how they relate to MFT
  • Strong Scripting experience and mindset (Python, Java, PERL, etc.)
  • Ability to provide 24x7x365 on-call support

Day-to-Day:  Our clients Platform Services Team is looking for a Senior MFT Service Developer to join their growing team. As a Senior Level Managed File Transfer Service Developer, you will work directly with the Tech Lead to drive, modernize, manage, and architect their Managed File Transfer space. You will work with a team of highly skilled developers and engineers both domestically and offshore to manage the MFT platform which is consumed by internal and external partners performing a mission critical function. You will help ensure “five nines’” uptime by ensuring the platform is architected following best practices and has implemented proper alerting and monitoring. You will facilitate platform consumption and transparency by developing self-service mechanisms and creating customer-facing reports

In this role you will:

  • Collaborate with cross functional teams in Agile standups to understand file transfer requirements and implement appropriate solutions
  • Oversee the end-to-end file transfer process including planning, scheduling, and execution
  • Provide L3 Support, serve as an escalation point for more junior team members to promptly resolve issues
  • Develop automation and self-service mechanisms to reduce friction using the platform and ensure secure, efficient transfer of data between internal and external systems
  • Monitor performance, implement alerting, proactively resolve errors that arise through automation
  • Ensure security and compliance; conform to industry best practices and corporate policies to safeguard sensitive information from end-to-end
  • Produce and furnish web reports on file transfer processes, batch schedules, system performance, and KPI’s
