Detailed Job Description:

• Smart Hand Technician
• Install, integrate equipment per Build Specifications and/or Configuration Instructions
• Install and remove cabinets and racks in the data center
• Perform activities to ground cabinets according to standard processes
• Dispose of all packing material and waste appropriately
• Move equipment, racks, devices, and materials between physical locations in the same data center
• Installation of network devices and cable management systems
• Provide physical technical support to our network owner/user community
• Troubleshoot and repair system connections as needed
• Test all types of cables Copper, fiber (MM/SM), dark fiber, DWDM, MPO, etc.
• Replace cables
• Check network connections
• Trace cables
• Clean and polish fiber ends
• Confirm hardware is functional
• Cat 5 and Cat 3 knowledge of standard pin outs
• Attention to detail
• Complete physical audit of equipment and accessories.

Minimum years of experience: 5 - 8 years

Education: Bachelor or Master of Engineering
