Job Duties:
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of electrical wiring harnesses and cable assemblies for small construction equipment, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company specifications.
- Provide technical expertise to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to electrical and electronic components, specifically in mobile applications.
- Utilize Creo for designing cabling and harness systems, creating detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout designs.
- Work closely with other engineers, manufacturing teams, and suppliers to ensure the successful implementation and integration of electrical systems.
- Provide design solutions to manufacturing-related challenges, ensuring production continuity, and optimizing performance and reliability.
- Contribute to all phases of the new product introduction process, including requirements capture, design development, testing, validation, and certification of electrical systems.
- Conduct tests and validation activities to ensure the functionality and reliability of electrical systems, meeting safety and performance standards.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation for electrical designs, including schematics, bills of materials, and compliance reports to meet internal and regulatory requirements.
- Lead or participate in Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to identify potential design risks and implement corrective actions during the design and development stages.
- Actively seek opportunities for process improvements in design, manufacturing, and testing to enhance product quality, reduce costs, and improve efficiency in electrical systems.
Education: The minimum qualification required for performing the above specialty occupation duties is a bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or equivalent in a related field or a foreign equivalent is required closely related field with relevant experience.
