Job Description: Technical Communications for our tool - of-record for cost estimation, capacity planning, timesheet-charging, capitalization-tracking, and financials - all the efforts that support the CTIO organization.
Professional Documentation:
- Prepare instruction manuals, how-to guides, and other supporting documents to communicate complex and technical information in easy-to-interpret guides.
- Research and create communications that explain the use and illustrate the business value achievable.
- Interview subject matter experts to learn and communicate their unique takes on the tool of record.
- Responsible for the creation of documentation for existing and proposed business processes, systems, functional/technical specifications, as well as the facilitation of sessions with Stakeholders.
- Evaluates technical employees and identifies areas needing improvement.
- Assesses internal customer requirements and evaluates and documents workable solutions.
- Ability to document workflow to support development roadmap.
- Prepares functional and technical requirements for new systems and updates to existing systems.
- Develops and maintains user documentation and instructions for all systems for which he or she is responsible.
- Defines processing logic and translates high level business requirements into detailed functional and technical design documents.
- Determines system utilization requirements by researching and testing systems.
- Understands business initiatives to deliver solutions and provides recommendations in support of business objectives.
- Executive Communication/Writing Sample required.
Continuous Training:
- Creates technical training programs according to requirements. Artificial Intelligence (AI) knowledge is a plus.
- Train on and distribute instruction manuals, how-to guides, and other supporting documents to communicate complex and technical information in easy-to-interpret guides.
- Train on and distribute functional and technical requirements for new systems and updates to existing systems.
- Reports data on completed courses, issues, and absences.
- Determines overall effectiveness of programs and training by listening to feedback and making improvements, as necessary.
- Conducts computer training needs assessment by collecting information on employee skillsets.
- Provides training schedules and agendas and determines course content and objectives.
- Researches and collaborates with other teams tasked with identifying current and future business needs.
