Short Description:

The Quality Assurance Specialist (QAS) is responsible to oversee the testing phase of a vendor managed implementation. THIS IS NOT A ROLE FOR A QA TESTER.  It is a role for a manager overseeing a software implementation.

Complete Description:

-                 Review of Business Requirements and System Design in order to obtain an in depth understanding of the process and objectives

-                 Using the Business Requirements and System Design specification, define the following activities for each phase process component

-                 Test Plan

-                 Defined test scripts / conditions that support each defined business requirement and system design definitions

-                 Define expected results / acceptance criteria for each defined test condition with clear pass / fail indications

-                 Define steps for preparing each test condition

-                 Define steps for conducting each test condition

-                 Define plan of action for conducting test condition, including

•                defined roles and responsibilities for Testing support staff

•                test calendar that defines how all testing will be accomplished within the defined testing window

-                 Oversee and coordinate carrying out the Test Plan

-                 Provide detail information as required to support test findings

•                Actual results

•                Pass / Fail

•                Analysis of results:  specific point of failure, obtain and save logs, screen shots and other supporting statistics that will assist in determining root cause of failures
