****The EHRS Project Manager position will require extensive travel throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia.
EHRS Project Manager will be responsible for Interdependent Interface and Interdependent Systems Stabilization projects related to the DBHDS EHRS. During the implementation the project manager will work with the implementation vendor to develop the required interfaces to the Siemens EHRS. After system implementation the project manager will assume the role of EHRS project manager and will manage resources and tasks related to the ongoing operations of the EHRS.

Job Description:
This position is located in the Commonwealth of Virginia. The client government agency has an immediate need for a Project Manager for a contract to hire position. This position will report to the Program Manager in the (PMO) office. The individual will manage major interface in support of the Electronic Health Record System (EHRS) implementation. Projects will include linking ancillary systems (billing/revenue cycle, pharmacy, labs, HIMs, legacy CPOE and EKG). The Project Manager will be responsible for deliverables including but not limited to project schedules, communication plans, risk matrices and issue logs.
Other duties include monitoring resource utilization, as well as provide Status Reports to the Program Manager. Responsibilities will include working with the vendor clinical implementation team and managing tasks for the development of interfaces for ancillary systems and revenue/billing interfaces. The position requires previous experience in EHR implementations and the interfacing of an EHR to a third party revenue/billing system.
Will provide project management experience in developing and deploying an EHRS system both during and after implementation.
Works closely with the vendor implementation team to establish timelines and overall implementation plan for the development and delivery of interfaces needed for the EHRS.
Facilitates the transfer of knowledge and best practices from the vendor implementation team to ensure that DBHDS personnel can assume operational responsibilities after project implementation close-out.
