The Program Manager (PM) designs, plans, and coordinates work teams. The duration is initially set for six months but is likely to be extended.
Complete Description:
This resource will work as a manager for multiple, concurrent, short term and long term positions. This resource will help to facilitate regular weekly meetings with stakeholders and IT managers. The PM will track timelines, provide status reports and report on the general state of the projects.
The resource will conduct a daily scrum, work with a large team consisting of onsite and offsite resources. Projects will vary in nature but application development projects will consist of the SQL Server 2008 backend and a Java frontend.
Some type of project experience with a publishing background would be beneficial as many projects process data and produce text.
The position requires some requirements gathering and the ability to initiate projects and execute through the entire system development life cycle. Emphasis will be on the ability to assess current processes and identify the proposed process changes.
